Working as a psychologist, psychoanalyst, and photographer in New York City  has inspired me for over 40 years.  After September 11, I developed a coalition of over 350 mental health workers who donated services to disaster responders and their families. After studying photography, I found a way to express my artistic sensibilities. 

 

My teaching has engaged students at various psychoanalytic institutes in New York and China. I have written numerous journal articles and co-authored (with Elliot Adler) Working in Depth: Framework and Flexibility in the Analytic Relationship.  My book, Exploring the Landscape of the Mind: An Introduction to Psychodynamic Psychotherapy  is available from Amazon.com.  I see individuals and couples and supervise therapists in New York City.
